Art Club
The Art Club provides students an opportunity to express themselves visually in a group setting. Students learn how to work in a team when creating a Float for the Homecoming Parade. *Some of the activities include: Scarecrow on the Square, Global Youth Project (Caricatures of Senior Citizens), Field Trip to the Atlanta Botannical Gardens and a trip to the High Museum. The Art Club students sponsor 2 Juried Art Shows @ MHS. Students are actively involved with fundraisers. During the Football Home games students are involved in Face Painting. During the 2nd semester students are involved with Mural Painting or creating a Mosaic for the hallway. *Students enjoy sharing their talents and ideas with each other and other clubs.
*Membership fee is $5.oo. Students who are unable to pay will be sponsored by Mrs. Matthews.

Tentative Meeting
Meetings are Mondays and Thursdays in Room E105.
Activities
Art Show Opening @ Cool Beans on Marietta Square. Art Club members will be hanging paintings at 2 pm at Cool Beans on Sunday, Nov. 7th. See you there. Mrs. Matthews & Mrs. Pritchard
Come to Art Club meeting with a completed sketch for your painting. Be ready to paint. Make sure your $5.00 dues are paid so you can receive a Field Trip form to the High Museum.
Create a Float for the Homecoming Parade. The Theme this year is 'Around the World". The parade this year is on Oct. 15.
Field Trip to the High Museum on Thurs. Nov. 18, 2010. The cost of the trip will be $10.00. Students will enjoy seeing the late works of Salvador Dali.
Mural Painting for the 'Coffee Cafe'. Students will design and paint a mural in the B wing.
Painting class in E 105 after School on Thurs. Nov. 4th. We will be selecting 8 to 10 ptgs for Nov. 7th (Sunday at 2 pm) Cool Beans Coffee Shop.
